Manage your events.

Promote an event, sell tickets online and manage access via a guest list. Run one-off events (a festival, an exhibition, a conference) or repeat events (a monthly trivia night, a weekly workshop). Set up multiple ticket types, sessions, capacity limits, the lot. Track your online ticket sales in real-time.

What you pay LemonBooking: 30¢ a ticket, whatever the payment method. Card sales add your payment provider's standard transaction fee on top — cash, check and ACH don't. No charge for free events.

LemonBooking generates an email confirmation and receipt for each order automatically.

When an event sells out, later buyers can join a waiting list, and a refund can cover part of an order rather than all of it — read about waiting lists and partial refunds for tickets.

Customer review from Trustpilot

“We have been using LemonBooking at Motcombe Memorial Hall for 9 months. We have a busy hall with 3 separate venues in use, on multiple occasions on most days, and ticketed events on a monthly basis. This is the 3rd booking system we have tried, following experience with bespoke booking and ticketing systems: it is a breath of fresh air. It is reliable, straightforward to use, and has an attractive, generally intuitive interface.”

Showtime — with a QR scanner.

Tickets carry a QR code that any staff member can scan on the door — with a smartphone, or a handheld USB barcode reader if that suits your team better. The admin interface reports total attendance and progress in real-time.

Add a logo and a description to each ticket type to make them feel like yours. Use the group email option to ask for feedback after your event.

Frequently asked questions

Anything we haven't covered, drop us a line.

What makes a community event ticketing system different from a general ticketing platform?

A community event ticketing system sits on the venue that is hosting the event. The event holds the room in the same calendar the hall is booked from, ticket buyers land in the same customer list as regular renters, and ticket income reports alongside rental income. A general ticketing platform sells the tickets and knows nothing about the room.

Is this suitable for small venue ticketing, or only large events?

It is built for small venues. There is no minimum ticket volume and no monthly ticketing fee — you pay 30¢ a ticket plus card fees, so a trivia night that sells 40 tickets pays $12 in ticket fees. Ticketing is included on every plan.

What does event ticketing cost?

30¢ per ticket plus standard card transaction fees, with no commission taken from the ticket price and no setup or monthly ticketing fee. Ticketing needs a subscription (Bronze, Silver or Gold), and is included on all three.

Can we sell tickets online with no fees?

No. Ticketing needs a LemonBooking plan, from $265 a year for Bronze, and we charge 30¢ for every paid ticket you sell. What we don't do is take a commission on the ticket price or charge a setup fee. You can add the 30¢ to each ticket as a ticket fee so the buyer pays it. Card sales also carry your payment provider's fee; cash, check and ACH sales don't.

Can we sell tickets with PayPal?

Yes. Connect your PayPal account and ticket payments go through PayPal, straight into your account, with refunds going back through PayPal automatically. Stripe, Square or SumUp can take the payments instead if you prefer. Our fee is 30¢ a ticket whichever one you use, plus that provider's standard transaction fee.

Do tickets sell from our own website?

Yes. Events appear on your own site under your own domain and branding, so buyers never leave for a marketplace and you keep the relationship with them. You can also share a direct link to a single event.

Can we scan tickets at the door?

Yes. Every ticket carries a QR code, and any phone or tablet with a browser works as the scanner — there is no app to install and no hardware to buy. Guests already checked in are flagged, so a ticket cannot be used twice.

Can we handle waiting lists, refunds and discount codes?

Yes. Set a capacity per ticket type and the event closes when it sells out, with later buyers joining a waiting list. Refunds are issued from the booking, and discount codes can be limited by date or number of uses for early-bird and member pricing.

Can we sell tickets for exhibitions, conferences and workshops?

Yes. Each ticket type can cover the whole event or a single date, so an exhibition can sell day tickets, a conference can sell full passes alongside one-day passes, and a run of workshops can go on sale as a repeat event with its own capacity for each session.

Can people book free events online too?

Yes. A free event takes bookings online the same way a paid one sells tickets: people choose their places, get a confirmation email and appear on the guest list you check in at the door. We don't charge the 30¢ on free tickets, though ticketing still needs a LemonBooking plan.

Who collects and remits sales tax on tickets?

You do. LemonBooking records the tax rate you set against each ticket type and reports it back to you per event, so the figure you owe is already worked out — but the money is collected by your own payment provider into your own account, and we are never in the chain.

Can we sell tickets for a 501(c)(3) fundraiser?

Yes. Set a ticket price, or add a donation ticket at a set price, and the whole amount lands in your own Stripe, Square, SumUp or PayPal account. We take no commission on the ticket price — just the flat per-ticket fee — so what your supporters pay is what reaches the organization, less your card processor.
