We’re introducing a powerful new way to collect payments — directly from your customers’ bank accounts. It’s fast, easy, and affordable, with fees for LemonBooking customers starting from just 0.75% + 15p.

Multiple payment providers
Multiple payment providers can be connected to a single LemonBooking system. As you can see from the table above, the most cost efficient setup involves using SumUp for low value payments and GoCardless for everything else.
Town & Parish councils
If you represent a council (in the UK) you should check whether you can sign up for GOV UK Pay as their transaction fees are likely to be even lower. Please note this option is only available to organisations with a .gov.uk email address.

Instant, one-off payments
Let your customers pay online straight from their bank account — faster and easier than a manual transfer, with the right reference and amount automatically included every time.
Automatic payment matching
Whenever a payment is received through GoCardless, LemonBooking is instantly notified and automatically matches it to the correct invoice — with no manual effort required.
Automatic refunds
You can also use GoCardless to issue full or partial refunds without having to manually collect or store customers' bank details.


Direct Debit mandates
You can also invite customers to set up a Direct Debit mandate — a one-time authorisation that lets you collect future payments from their bank account automatically every time you raise an invoice.
From LemonBooking, you can send a secure mandate invite link by email. Once a customer signs up, they won’t need to re-enter their details again — and you won’t need to chase payments.
After a mandate is in place
- Invoices are billed automatically around 7 days after they’re issued
- Customers are notified in advance and payments are collected securely
- You stay in control, and your cashflow becomes much more predictable
