July update
Another busy month with a number of improvements and new features - this time mostly focused on invoicing and payments. We have also included a couple of smaller changes for ticketed events and the LemonBooking calendar.
Thank you as always to everyone who provided feedback.
Modules for Square & GOV.UK Pay
The headline for this update — we're pleased to introduce new modules for Square and GOV.UK Pay for the booking system; providing more options for venues looking to take online payments. Square provides a similar offering to SumUp with options to take payments from customers online and via card readers.
GOV.UK Pay is a new service, built by the Government Digital Service, specifically for government and public sector organisations to take payments online. Please note a gov.uk email account is required to sign up for this service.
New option to set invoice due dates
In many cases when invoicing for one-off events, customers are expected to pay in full several weeks prior to their event - rather than a fixed date a certain number of days after the issue date (as is common with many other types of invoicing). With this latest system update, it's now possible to generate invoices with a due date which is X days before the first date in a booking:
Billing email for the venue
We have added an extra option to the venue profile page so it's possible to specify a different email address specifically for billing-related enquiries. This is in addition to the existing options for the booking email and contact email.
Option to bulk upload payments
We have also added a new option to the 'Payments' page to make it possible to upload bank statements to quickly reconcile payments that have been received to a bank account against invoices in LemonBooking.
Online payments are reconciled automatically.
New calendar setting
Customers on the Bronze plan using a third party calendar (Google, Outlook, etc.), can now display their calendar directly in the admin section by entering the calendar embed code in the calendar system settings.
New options for ticketed events
It's now possible to configure in advance exactly when each event is visible to the public and when people can buy tickets using date ranges. So for example you could set the ticket sales for an event to stop automatically the day before the event and set the event to be hidden from the website the day after the event has taken place.
Shortcut for deleting booking sessions
It's now possible to delete booking sessions directly from the calendar by simply clicking on the booking session that should be removed and then pressing 'Delete'.
