October update
More features and improvements for LemonBooking! Custom questions and SumUp payments for events, new controls for editing booking session prices, custom headers/footers for invoices, a customer filter for work schedules, improvements to the website editor and the ability to upload favicons.
Custom questions for events
Custom questions make it possible to add extra questions to the system. Typically custom questions are added to the booking form (e.g. Do you have public liability insurance?) or to the customer registration form (e.g. Are you registered for GiftAid?).
In this update, we're adding the option to set up custom questions for events. For an event for kids, it might be necessary to ask how old they are, if they have allergies, etc. or if people are signing up for an AGM their address or date of birth might be required.
SumUp for ticket sales
At the start of this month we also added SumUp to our list of supported payment service providers for ticketing. So it's now possible to sell tickets and take online payments using SumUp, Stripe and PayPal.
Manually override the price for a session
There are several functions in the system that can be used to automatically calculate prices for bookings; standard price lists, customer-specific prices, deposit rules and automated fees/discounts.
Sometimes however, it's necessary to give a customer a special price for a one-off session and this is now easier than ever with the latest update:
Option to copy sections
When using the website editor, it's now possible to move and/or copy whole sections - either to another position on the same page or to a different page.
This could be really useful for a standard banner/footer that should be displayed on all pages. Another example could be to create a grid layout to display photos of facilities or staff etc. with captions or other styling elements.
Upload a custom favicon
Earlier in the month, we also added the option to upload a custom favicon. This is a simple but effective way to help a website stand out from the crowd.
Header/Footer text on invoices
We have added two new text fields to the billing template form to make it possible to customise the header and/or footer on invoices generated by system. This new option could be used to display a reference number for staff, alternative payment methods for customers, or simply to say thank you to the customer for their custom.
Customer filter for work schedules
We've also implemented a customer filter for the work schedule options. This means it's now possible to generate a work schedule (e.g. weekly programme or day sheet) with all bookings for a given customer only. This is a great way to see everything a customer will be doing (or has done) during a given period.
Until next time
Thank you as always to everyone who provided feedback for this update. We're very grateful for everyone's support and we're committed to keep improving the system.
